About Abhishek Rajput
Abhishek lives with his parents and sister in a small village in Northern India. Their village, located on the plains, has a hot climate and experiences heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Abhishek's family lives a poor and simple life. Their self-made mud hut has no electricity and contains only a wood-burning open fire for cooking food. Abhishek helps his mother with the household chores while his father works as a laborer to provide for the family.
Recognizing the chronic poverty which traps many in their village, Abhishek's parents long for their son to achieve an education. Abhishek enjoys reading and dreams of becoming a doctor in the future. His parents still practice their Hindu faith, but are interested in Christianity and have begun praying together daily. Please pray that Abhishek and his family will continue in their search to know the true God. Abhishek is a naturally shy boy, but enjoys many activities, including painting, drawing, dancing, singing, and playing cricket and soccer. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti (Indian-style bread). To provide for his school fees, uniform, books, and other necessities, Abhishek needs your help!
