About Savita Ahirwar
Savita Ahirwar has Graduated from High School in 2023! She is now in College! THANK YOU, SPONSORS!!
Savita came to Mercy Home from a poor village. She lived in a rented, mud-plaster house with her mother, sister, and four brothers. Her father lives in a larger town nearby where he can receive better wages working as a laborer. However, the family still faces financial difficulties in caring for their large family. In order to attend school, Savita had to walk six miles each day, which is challenging during monsoon and hot seasons. Her family was at the point of being unable to continue Savita’s education. But, her parents know that a proper education would provide their daughter with a better future.
At the Mercy Home, Savita and her older sister, Sunita, have the opportunity to grow spiritually and academically. Savita also is happy to join the Mercy Home family where she can continue her education and safely worship the Lord. Savita likes to study and she wants to become a nurse. She also enjoys drawing. Her favorite sports are carom and badminton. Her favorite foods are chicken curry and fried rice.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Savita!
