About Dolly Masih

Dolly Masih lives with her parents, grandparents, and one sister in a hut made of brick and mud in a small village in the planes of Central India. Their house doesn't have electricity; the family uses wood and cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons.
Dolly helps with gardening, cooking meals, and doing other household chores. Her parents are laborers and often travel to where they have to for labor work and leave Dolly with her grandparents. Dolly wants to become a teacher or a nurse one day. She enjoys reading and dancing along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game), badminton, and soccer. Dolly also takes a keen interest in learning stitching and embroidery. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetarian, chicken, chapatti, and mutton.
Dolly comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, attend a Bible study, read the Bible and pray together daily. Dolly needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
