About Priya Das

Priya belongs to a poor family. Priya has one brother. Her parents work as laborers living on low daily wages. The whole family attends church regularly. In March Priya lost her grandmother due to heart failure. She loved her grandmother very much. They all went through great grief after this loss.

This year Priya is studying in the 8th grade. The Middle School costs more money and is located far away from her home. It is not safe for her to walk that far to school. Her parents can’t afford the expenses of their children’s education. They want to send her to a safe place where she can get a good education in a good Christian environment.

Priya was blessed to join the Mercy Home in July of 2024. She loves her new school and her Mercy Home family. She loves the daily devotionals and enjoys singing, dancing, and praising the Lord. Priya is good at studies and likes to read. She wants to become a nurse and serve humanity one day. She likes to play carom and badminton. Her favorite foods are rice, lentils, and chicken curry.
