About Byula Dayal

Byula lives with her parents in a brick-and-mud house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot and humid and experiences monsoons. The town is located in a mountainous area, in a valley. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. Their home has no running water but they are blessed to have a water well not too far from their house.

Byula helps with chores as best she can. Her father is a low-wage laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Byula wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys singing and reading along with playing carom and tag with her friends. Her favorite foods are dal, rice, veggies, chicken and fish, and poori (fried bread).

Byula comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Byula needs your help to provide her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
