About Payal Ahari
Payal lives with her parents, brother, Vikram, and two sisters, Khushbu and Nisha in a mud house in a small village in North India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences drought seasons. The village is located near a river. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 1000 meters from their home.
Payal helps with gardening, household chores, and babysitting her younger siblings. Her father is a driver while her mother is a homemaker. Payal wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite food is veggies.
