About Jayash Dama
Jayash lives with his parents and his brother, Prateek, in a small mud house in a rural village in Northern India. The climate in this village is hot, and dry, and experiences drought seasons. The village is located near a river and in a mountainous area. The family uses wood and dried cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 300 meters from their home. Their home has no running water.
Jayash helps with household chores. His father is a laborer while his mother is a homemaker. Jayash wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys reading along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, veggies, and chapatti.
Jayash comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday. Jayash needs your help to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Jayash!
