About Nirma Katara
Nirma lives with her parents, one brother, and two sisters in a mud house in a small village in Northern India. The climate in this village is hot and experiences drought seasons. The village is located in a valley. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 50 meters from their home.
Nirma helps with gardening, fetching water, and babysitting her siblings. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Nirma wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys dancing and singing along with playing cricket and badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Nirma comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday. Nirma needs your support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
