About Gillu Gloria Bhil
Gillu Gloria Bhil (she prefers to be called Gloria) belongs to a very poor tribal family. She has four brothers and three sisters. She has worked hard to pass 8th grade at a nearby village school but the closest high school is over 30 miles away. The family lives in the Jungles and they have no transportation, so there was no way for Gloria to attend a high school. She prayed for God to provide a way for her to continue her studies. Then a visiting pastor told them about the Mercy Home and, praise God, Gloria was able to move to Mercy Home in 2022!
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and love. You have given Gloria the greatest gifts of all, hope, dignity, and a future! Her life will be forever changed. Without this opportunity, she was going to be leaving for another state to work as a servant girl for a family she did not even know. We can only imagine the exploitation that could have happened in this situation.
Update from her Dorm Mother: Gloria loves her new Mercy Home family. She enjoys singing, dancing, and playing games with her new friends. Her favorite foods are cornbread (Indian style), mustered leaves, “Saag” with jagari or honey, and chicken curry. Gloria dreams of being a nurse one day where she can help others. Thank you and God bless you!
