About Ritu Lal
Ritu's mother came to the women's rehabilitation center when she was only 25 years old, bringing her four children with her. When she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, her husband threw her out onto the streets with the children to fend for themselves. At the time, she was illiterate. While at the rehabilitation center Ritu's mother would clean and practice developing her sewing skills. Her oldest daughter is receiving nursing training, while Ritu, her youngest, was sent to Mercy Home. Ritu wants to be a dance teacher. Her favorite Bible story is of queen Esther where a slave girl becomes the queen and, by being courageous, she saves her people. Ritu loves summertime. Her favorite flower is the lotus and she loves sheep, cows, and peacocks. She enjoys eating noodles and dosa.
