About Yohana Ahari

Yohana Ahari lives with his parents and two sisters in a humble mud hut in a remote village in West India. The village is located in a mountainous area of the jungle. The climate in this village is hot and dry and tens to experience seasons of drought. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals; they don't have access to electricity. In order to get water for all their daily needs, they have to travel over 1000 meters to the nearest well.

His parents are farmers. Yohana helps them with gardening, household chores, and tending livestock. Yohana wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys dancing and singing as well as playing carom and cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.

Yohana comes from a Christian family. They are attending church each Sunday, they attend a Bible study, read the Bible and pray together daily. Yohana needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs. Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Yohana!
