About Yashoda Ahari
Yashoda Ahari is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents, four brothers, and two sisters in a mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Yashoda helps her with gardening, tending livestock, and household chores. Yashoda wants to become a seamstress one day. She enjoys dancing, singing, and reading along with playing kho-kho, an Indian game which is a bit like a team-based tag. She is a vegetarian and her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice. Please pray for Yashoda; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Yashoda needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Yashoda!
