About Vanis Jacob
Vanis Jacob graduated from Mercy Home in 2014.
Vanis comes from a very remote village. Her father is a first generation Christian. When he accepted Christ, he had to move several times because the family was looking for him to save the family honor and disgrace amongst their small village community. He successfully eluded them by doing odd jobs and not staying in any one place for long. Later, he changed his name, joined the Bible College, became a preacher, and married a good, faithful believer. Together, they started a ministry in a small village. He wanted to give a better and stable respectable life to his daughter Vanis, so they brought her to Mercy Home after her elementary education. Now they know that Vanis will not only grow spiritually in a secure, peaceful, and happy atmosphere of Mercy Home, but she will be able to receive a good education to honor her God and family. Vanis is a good singer and dancer and participates in various competitions, such as Bible Bowl. She wants to be a good housewife and teacher.
