About Tara Chand Ahari

Tara is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. He lives with his parents, his brother Deepak, and his sister Jeeja in a small mud-hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals, they don’t have access to electricity. The water well the family uses is about two kilometers from their home which means gathering water each day is very laborious and time-consuming.

His parents have a little farm on the small field by their hut. Tara helps with gardening, fetching water, tending livestock, and household chores. Tara wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys reading and singing along with playing kho-kho, and cricket. His favorite foods are dal and rice. Tara comes from a devoted Christian family; they attend church each Sunday, attend a Bible study, read the Bible, and pray together daily. Tara needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Tara!
