About Shivani Sen
Shivani Sen lives with her parents and her two brothers in a brick and concrete house in a small village surrounded by the jungles of Central India. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area also experiences periods of monsoons and drought seasons. The family uses propane and wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is not too far from their home. They use large jugs and pots to carry the water for all of their daily cleaning, cooking, and bathing.
Shivani helps with household chores. Her father and mother are both low wage laborers. Knowing the value of education Shivani dreams of becoming a teacher one day. She enjoys dancing along with playing carom (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, veggies, and chapatti (an Indian bread).
Please pray for Shivani as she comes from a Hindu family with no Christian believers. Shivani needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, school uniform, books, school bag, and other needs such as school lunches and shoes.
