About Seema Kumari Ahari

Seema Kumar Ahari is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents, one brother, and four sisters in a small mud hut. The family doesn't have access to electricity and they use wood as fuel to cook their meals, they cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is about a third of a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Seema helps with household chores, cooking meals, fetching water, gardening, tending livestock, and babysitting siblings. Seema wants to become a nurse one day. She loves to read and enjoys singing and dancing, along with playing soccer. She enjoys vegetarian dishes with rice. Seema comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, attend a Bible study, and pray together daily. Seema needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Seema!
