About Sandhya Jain
Sandya is a very loving, mentally challenged girl. She has been a shut in at home most of her life, because of her mental disabilities and a speech impediment. Sandhya's family is from a sect of Hinduism called Jains. Sandhya saw the girls from Oasis of Love competing in the National Para Olympics Games on television and heard many stories of the good work being done for handicapped children. This convinced her that she would like to attend Oasis of Love.
Sandya is very happy in the school and does not like it when she cannot attend because of the holidays. She enjoys singing praise and worship songs through actions, though she can't speak properly. She is very friendly with other children and she takes a keen interest in dancing and coloring. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite food is Chole and poori (fried bread with garbanzo beans). Her parents are very thankful to the directors and teachers of the school. Please pray for her better future and help us show Christ's love through this ministry.
