About Sakshi Gound
Sakshi Gound lives with her parents, one brother and three sisters in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.
Sakshi helps her parents with fetching water and household chores. Both of her parents are low-wage laborers. Sakshi wants to become a nurse one day. She loves to read and sing and enjoys playing board games and badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend a Bible study and are exploring Christianity; please pray for Sakshi and her family. Sakshi needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Sakshi!
