About Sachin Namdev
Sachin is a mentally challenged young man. He is very calm and quiet. In school, he prefers to keep to himself, and he only associates with his sister who is also mentally challenged and a student at the Oasis of Love School as well. He has been attending our school for the last six years. Coming to school makes him happy because when he is home there is nobody who takes care of him. He is left to his own devices and is allowed to just roam around. The teachers at the school care for him and provide a safe and loving environment. He has been learning how to stitch and do other craftwork to give him skills for the future. They belong to a very poor family so Sachin was very happy and grateful to get a new uniform, socks and shoes, and a school bag for Christmas.
