About Sabina Singh
Sabina grew up in a very poor but dedicated Christian family that lives in a remote tribal village in the middle of the jungle. Her ancestors were evangelized by Indian missionaries, but there is no Christian pastor or teacher living among her people now. Like sheep without a shepherd and limited by their illiteracy, Sabina's parents struggle in their spiritual growth. Sadly, their impoverished village offers little opportunity to change their situation. Government regulations have prevented Sabina's parents from farming, forcing them to work as laborers. This unstable work provides only a meager income for their family of seven. Furthermore, the isolated location of their village makes it impossible for Sabina and her four brothers to attend school.
Seeking a better future for their daughter, Sabina's parents asked for the help of the Mercy Home. Through the investment of loving Christian teachers and caretakers, Sabina is growing in spiritual maturity. She is a diligent student, studying to advance her reading and writing skills. Sabina dreams of becoming a teacher, so she can help disadvantaged girls like herself. In her spare time, Sabina likes playing soccer and badminton with her new friends. She also loves to sing and enjoys worship time at the Mercy Home. Her favorite meal is chicken curry and puri (India fried bread).
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Sabina!
