About Ranju Nanama

Ranju Nanama is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents, two brothers, and two sisters in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals, they don’t have access to electricity. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Her parents have a little farm on the small field by their hut. Ranju helps with gardening, fetching water, cooking meals, household chores, tending livestock, and babysitting siblings. Ranju wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys reading, dancing and singing along with playing carom (an Indian board game), volleyball, and kho-kho, an Indian sport which is a bit like a team-based tag. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chapatti, and fish. Please pray for Ranju; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Ranju needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Ranju!
