About Radhika Namdev
Radhika lives in a small town in Central India. The town is located in the plains where the climate is hot and humid. She belongs to a very poor family. Radhika has been a part of the Oasis of Love School family for the last seven years. Studying does not come easily to her, but she still loves coming to Oasis of Love by our school bus together with her brother Sachin who is also mentally challenged and studies here at our school.
Coming to school makes them very happy because at home there is nobody to take care of them while parents are at work; so kids are left to themselves and are allowed to just roam around, which often makes them a subject of bullying and abuse. But at the Oasis of Love, they always feel loved and protected.
Radhika is a very quiet and simple, mentally challenged girl. In school, she prefers to keep to herself, and associates only with her brother. They always like to sit and do everything together. Radhika enjoys different school activities and loves going on picnics. Radhika was very happy and grateful to receive a new uniform, shoes, socks and school bag.
