About Priyanka Baiga
Priyanka lives with her parents, brother Dashrath, and sister Kanchan in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains and experiences intense heat as well as alternating monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well the family uses is over 1,000 meters from their home which makes gathering water each day laborious and time-consuming.
Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Priyanka helps with gardening, cooking meals, and household chores. Priyanka wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys singing and reading along with playing soccer and kho-kho (an Indian sport). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti.
Please pray for Priyanka; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Priyanka needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Priyanka!
