About Praveesh James

Praveesh comes from a remote village where he lived with his parents and one sister. His family is very poor. Both of his parents are unskilled low-wage laborers. The closest school is over 9 kilometers away. He used to ride his old bicycle to get to school, but it was not easy to do so without good roads especially during monsoon seasons or on very hot days. Praveesh comes from a Christian family, which makes him a target for persecution, especially on the long travel to school. His parents want him to have a safe place to live while getting a good education and building his relationship with the Lord.
Praveesh is very grateful for the opportunity to join the Mercy Home family! However, he misses his pet dog that he had to leave at home. Praveesh aspires to be a lawyer one day. He enjoys reading, drawing, and dancing. He also loves playing cricket and carom with his new friends at Mercy Home. His favorite foods are dal, rice, vegetables, chicken, and chapatti.
