About Pankaj Kumar Khokariya

Pankaj lives with his parents, brother, and sister in a small mud hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals, as they cannot afford propane and don’t have access to electricity. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

His father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. His mother is a homemaker and Pankaj helps her with household chores and tending the livestock. Pankaj wants to become a nurse one day. He loves to read and enjoys playing cricket. His favorite food is rice and vegetarian dishes. Pankaj comes from a devoted Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, attend a Bible study, and pray together daily. Pankaj needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Pankaj!
