Nancy Soloman lives with her parents, two brothers, and one sister in a brick and concrete house in a town in Central India. The town is located in a plain where the climate is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals.
Nancy helps with household chores. Her father is a laborer and her mother is a homemaker. Nancy wants to become a doctor one day. She enjoys reading and playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, and chicken.
Nancy comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, attend a Bible study, and pray together daily. Nancy needs your help and support to provide for school fees, a uniform, books, a school bag, and other needs.
