About Mohit Gameti

Mohit lives with his parents in a small brick-and-mud hut in a remote village in West India. It is located in a mountainous area with a hot climate. This area also experiences drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well the family uses is over 1,000 meters from their home which makes gathering water each day laborious and time-consuming.

Mohit helps with household chores. His father is an unskilled low-wage laborer. His mother is a homemaker. Mohit's goal is to become an engineer one day. He enjoys reading in addition to playing cricket. Mohit and his family live on a simple diet of dal (lentils), white rice, some vegetables, and chapati (flat Indian bread). On special occasions, they will kill a chicken and enjoy chicken curry.

Mohit comes from a Christian family; they enjoy coming to church each Sunday and have a daily family time of Bible reading and prayer. Mohit needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Mohit!
