About Mayavati Ahari

Mayavati lives with her parents, one brother, and one sister in a humble mud hut in a remote village in West India. The village is located in a mountainous area of the jungle. The climate in this village is hot and dry and tens to experience seasons of drought. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals; they don't have access to electricity. In order to get water for all their daily needs, they have to travel over 1000 meters to the nearest well.

Her parents are farmers. Mayavati helps them with gardening, fetching water from the well, cooking meals, household chores, and taking care of her younger siblings. Mayavati wants to become a teacher one day. She loves to read reading. In her spare time, Mayavati enjoys playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and volleyball with her friends. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.

Mayavati comes from a Christian family. They are attending church every Sunday, they read the Bible and pray together daily, and attend a Bible study. Mayavati needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Mayavati!
