About Manisha Hirawat
Manisha is from a small village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents, three brothers, and two sisters in a small mud-hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals as they cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is about two kilometers from their home.
Manisha comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and have a daily family Bible reading and prayer time. Both of her parents are laborers, which means they work unskilled manual jobs, like helping at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Manisha helps her parents with household chores, cooking meals, gardening, fetching water, and tending livestock. Manisha loves to read and wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys singing and dancing, along with playing kho-kho. Her favorite foods are chicken and chapatti. Manisha needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Manisha!
