About Kushboo Ahirwal

Kushboo lives with her parents, grandmother, one brother, and two sisters in a tiny brick and mud house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and humid with periods of heavy monsoon rains in the summer months. The village is located near a river. The family uses wood and cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about 100 meters from their home.

Kushboo helps with gardening, cooking meals, and doing other household chores such as gathering firewood, making and drying cow pies, and fetching water in buckets from the well for her mom to use for cooking and cleaning. Her father and mother are both laborers, which means every day they go out looking for manual labor to earn an income for their family. Kushboo wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys singing and reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and volleyball with her friends. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and chicken.

Please pray for Kushboo as she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Kushboo needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Kushboo!
