About Khushbu Ahirwar
Khushbu came to the Mercy Home from a village in Central India where she lived with her parents, brother, and two sisters. Khushbu's father works as a laborer and her mother is a housewife. Her family is a first-generation Christian and constantly faces persecution from their neighbors and other Hindu extremists. Despite this threat, they are faithful in their church attendance and remain strong in their Christian faith. Khushbu's parents want to provide their daughter with a quality education in a good Christian atmosphere, but they cannot do that without the help of Mercy Home.
Khushbu is happy to be part of the Mercy Home. At first, she missed her parents and siblings, but over time she has come to love her new Mercy Home family. She is able to live in safety, without fear of persecution, and worship the Lord in freedom. She is enjoying her studies and aspires to become a police officer to give justice and protection to all. She enjoys reading and playing Kho-Kho. Her favorite foods are dhal (lentils) and rice.
