About Humi Kol
Humi comes from a first-generation Christian family. Her parents are active members of their village church, graciously hosting weekly Bible studies and congregational activities in their home. Humi has one brother and one sister, they live a simple life without electricity and running water in a small mud-plastered village house. Humi's parents work as laborers. In the challenging environment of their daily life, the main focus of Humi's family is on survival. They long for their daughter to receive a valuable education, but don't have the financial resources needed to provide one.
The Mercy Home is an answer to prayer for Humi and her parents. Humi is able to live in a safe, uplifting environment, receiving quality education and Christian guidance during formative years. She continues to attend church and daily devotions, cultivating the Biblical truths instilled in her by her parents. In the future, Humi would like to train to be a nurse, so she can be a positive voice in society. Humi enjoys dancing and singing with her friends, as well as playing cricket and Kho-Kho. Her favorite foods are chicken curry and Indian fried rice.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Humi!
