About Hejal Kumar Bansal
Hejal lives with his parents, one brother, and one sister in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains and experiences intense heat as well as alternating monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. While the water well is not too far from their house, gathering water for all their daily needs is tedious and laborious.
Hejal's father is a village preacher; he often travels to the surrounding communities to encourage other believers and to share the Good News with others. The family frequently facing persecution because of their Christian activities. Hejal's mother is a homemaker and Hejal helps her with household chores. Hejal dreams to become a doctor one day. He loves when someone reads to him and he looks forward to learning how to read in school. He enjoys singing and dancing. His favorite sports are soccer, cricket, and volleyball. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, chicken, chapatti, and fish. Hejal needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
