About Dileep Omkar
Dileep lives atop bluffs overlooking a river in the village in Central India. About 500 people living in his village. He lives with his parents and two siblings, a brother, and a sister. Together they live in a small mud hut. His parents are low-wage laborers.
Dileep loves going to school, his favorite subjects are math and English. Dileep is learning a lot about life at an early age. He helps his family out in the garden, doing household chores, and brings water from the village well. They have one caw and Dileep enjoys taking it to graze. When he has time, he really enjoys playing cricket with his friends. He likes to eat rice, dal (lentils), and roti (Indian flatbread), which are a staple throughout India.
