About Basanti Khokariya
Basanti lives with her parents and two brothers in a small mud hut in a remote village in West India. This village is located in a valley where the climate is hot and humid with occasional drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. They do not have electricity. The water well the family uses is over 300 feet from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker. Basanti helps her parents with household chores, fetching water from the well, and tending livestock. Basanti's goal is to become a nurse one day. She loves to sing and enjoys playing carom (Indian boardgame). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Please pray for Basanti; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Basanti needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs. Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Basanti!
