About Ashish Ahari
Ashish is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. He lives with his parents, two brothers, and two sisters in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals, they don’t have access to electricity. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
His parents have a little farm on the small field by their hut. Ashish helps them with household chores and tending livestock. Ashish aspires to become a doctor one day. He enjoys dancing along with playing volleyball and carom. His favorite food is rice and vegetarian dishes. Ashish comes from a Christian family; they attend church each Sunday, attend a Bible study, read the Bible and pray together daily. Ashish needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
