About Ashami Devi Singh
Ashami lives with her parents, brother, and two sisters in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains and experiences intense heat as well as alternating monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. While the water well is not too far from their house, gathering water for all their daily needs is tedious and laborious.
Her father is an unskilled low-wage laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Ashami helps with household chores, fetching water from the well, and gardening. Ashami wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys board games, drawing, and volleyball. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), chapatti, and fish.
Please pray for Ashami; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Ashami needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Ashami!
