About Arpita Nath

Arpita and her sister Harshita belong to a poor Christian family. Their parents are not educated or skilled. Her father is a self-taught motor mechanic and her mother is a jewelry maker's assistant. Because they do not have much education they are paid very little (together they earn less than $6 per day). During the long Coronavirus lockdown, they didn’t get paid. This was a very painful and hard experience for this family. They barely survived with all their meager savings and some extended family help, but they couldn’t pay the school fees for their children.

In 2022 they heard of The Mercy Home and were so glad when their girls were admitted. This place will give them a safe place to live, a wonderful education, and Christian fellowship with the other girls living there.

Arpita wants to become a doctor or nurse someday. She enjoys singing and dancing. She loves chicken curry and Indian fried bread poori. Her favorite color is red. She likes to play kho-kho, teepu, and volleyball.

Thank you for sponsoring Arpita and giving her hope, dignity, and a better future. God bless you!
