About Aradhana Kumari
Aradhana lives with her parents and two brothers in a small mud hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals as they cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is about a third of a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Aradhana comes from a devoted Christian family; they regularly attend church services and a Bible study and have daily family Bible reading and prayer time. Both of her parents are unskilled laborers, which means they get arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields for a little pay. Aradhana helps her parents with household chores, gardening, tending livestock, and babysitting siblings. Aradhana wants to become a doctor one day. She enjoys reading, singing, and dancing, along with playing soccer, cricket, kho-kho, and carom. Her favorite foods are dal, rice, chicken, chapatti, and mutton. Aradhana needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Aradhana!
