About Akshay Paragi
Akshay lives with his parents and his brother Ashwin in a small brick and concrete house in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 650 feet from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Akshay comes from a Christian family; they regularly attend church services and have daily family Bible reading and prayer time. His father is a farmer. His mother is a teacher. Akshay helps his parents with gardening and fetching water. Akshay wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys reading and singing along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetarian, chicken, and chapatti. Akshay needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Akshay!
