About Akshay Maravi

Akshay lives with his parents and one sister in a small brick and mud house in a poor, remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains and experiences intense heat as well as alternating monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. While the water well is not too far from their house, gathering water for all their daily needs is very tedious and laborious.

His father is a farmer. His mother is a homemaker and Akshay helps his mom with household chores, fetching water from the well, gardening, and taking care of his younger sister. Akshay wants to become a teacher one day. He loves to read and sing and enjoys playing cricket and volleyball. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, chapatti, and fish.

Please pray for Akshay; he comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Akshay needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Akshay!
