About Ashish Masih
Ashish Masih lives with his parents and younger sister in a small brick-and-concrete house in a remote village located on the plains of Northern India. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area also experiences drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals.
Ashish comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. His father is a low-wage laborer, and his mother is a homemaker. Ashish helps his parents with household chores. Ashish wants to become a teacher one day, knowing that education brakes the cycle of poverty. He enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game), but cricket is his favorite game. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and chapatti. Ashish needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Ashish!
