About Yash Katara

Yash lives with his parents, his brother Netik, and a little sister in a small brick and mud house in a remote village in the mountains of Western India. This area is experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have the water well not too far from their house.

His father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. His mother is a homemaker and even though he is still young, Yash helps his momma with household chores. Yash wants to become a lawyer one day. He enjoys playing with his toys. Sometimes the older kids will let him join the cricket game. Yash loves when someone reads to him and he looks forward to learning how to read in school. His favorite foods are dal, rice, chicken, and chapatti.

Yash comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, attend a Bible study, and pray together daily. Yash needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Yash!
