About Virendra Patel
Virendra lives with his parents, grandmother, one brother, and one sister in a small brick and concrete house in a rural village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and humid with periods of heavy monsoons in the summer months. The village is located near a river. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about 100 meters from their home.
Virendra helps his parents with gardening and household chores such as gathering firewood for his mom to use for cooking, and getting water from the well in buckets that he carries each morning and night. His father is a farmer while his mother is a homemaker. Virendra wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys dancing, singing, and reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and soccer. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and chapatti.
Please pray for Virendra; he comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Virendra needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Virendra!
