About Vikram Kharadi
Vikram lives with his parents, one brother, and one sister in a small mud hut in a remote village in West India. This village is located in a valley, where the climate is hot and humid with occasional drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. They do not have electricity. The water well the family uses is nearly a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
His father is an unskilled low-wage laborer. His mother is a homemaker and Vikram helps with household chores and tending livestock. One day, Vikram hopes to become a doctor and we want to do everything in our power to help him succeed. Vikram is eager to learn how to read and write at school. He loves to sing and enjoys playing carom. His favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Vikram comes from a Christian family. They are attending church each Sunday. Vikram needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
