About Varsha Barman
Varsha Barman lives with her parents, one brother and one sister in a brick and mud house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The village is located near a river. The family has intermittent electricity and uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 500 meters from their home.
Varsha helps with the gardening, cooking meals for the family and doing household chores. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Varsha wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys dancing along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Varsha comes from a Christian family. They spend time in prayer every day. She needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
