About Sweta Harijan
Sweta Harijan lives with her parents, one brother, Atul, and three sisters, Dolli, Mahi, and Priyanka, in a brick and concrete house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and experiences drought seasons. The village is located in the jungle. The family uses propane and wood they collect in the jungle as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is near their home.
Sweta helps with household chores and babysitting her siblings. Her parents are unskilled low-wage laborers; they work hard to provide for their big family. Understanding the value of education, Sweta dreams of becoming a teacher one day and break this cycle of poverty. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing and playing kho-kho and other outdoor games with her siblings and friends. Her favorite foods are rice and mutton (goat).
Please pray for Sweta and her family as they come from a Hindu family with no Christian believers. Sweta needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, school uniform, books, school bag, and other needs such as shoes and school lunches.
