About Sunita Ahirwar
NOTE: Sunita Ahirwar has graduated from High School and the Mercy Home program in 2021! She is now in Nursing College!
THANK YOU, SPONSORS!!!
Sunita came to Mercy Home from a village where she lived in a rented, mud plaster house with her mother, sister, and four brothers. Her father lives in a larger town nearby where he can receive better wages working as a laborer. However, life is still financially challenging for such a large family. Each day, Sunita had to walk three miles one to attend school, which is difficult during monsoon and hot seasons. Rather than continuing her education, Sunita would have been married as a young girl. But since her family became believers they realize that only a good education has the power to liberate them.
Sunita's parents are grateful for the opportunity that Mercy Home provides. Sunita is growing quickly in spiritual and intellectual maturity. She is advanced in wisdom for her young age and acts as a second mother to her sister, Savita, and some of the other young Mercy Home girls. In the future, Sunita desires to become a nurse. She enjoys school and works hard in studying English. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing, and playing Carom and badminton. Her favorite meal is chicken curry and fried rice.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sunita!
