About Sumit Kumar Maravi
Sumit lives with his parents and his brother, Siyon in a one-room mud hut. They live in a small, poor, village in Central India. His mother is a housewife and his father is a farmer. Sumit enjoys helping his momma with chores such as tending the garden, helping her cook, gathering firewood and cow pies for fuel to cook with, handwashing dishes and clothes and helping fetch water at the village well.
Sumit would like to be a social worker someday and help the people in his village. He enjoys reading and singing and plays cricket, volleyball, and kho-kho (an Indian game) with his friends. He and his family live on a simple diet of dal (lentils), white rice, and chapati (flat Indian bread). On special occasions, they will kill a chicken and enjoy chicken curry.
Please pray for Sumit, his family, and his village; they are generations old Hindus and we pray that they will find the truth in Jesus. Thank you for bringing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sumit!
