About Sumit Barman
Sumit Barman lives with his parents, grandparents, two brothers and one sister in a brick and mud house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The village is located near a river. Because they experience intermittent electricity, the family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 100 meters from their home.
Sumit helps with gardening. His father is a farmer while his mother is a homemaker. Sumit wants to become a doctor one day. He enjoys reading along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Please pray for Sumit as he comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Sumit needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
